Tips for converting old presets to Bazille version 1.0
------------------------------------------------------

Although you will get the most fun out of Bazille by creating entirely new sounds, you might want to revisit and convert your old Bazille patches (especially if you have already used them in songs). You can install both versions so you can compare sounds. This is fairly easy on Windows PC, because you can install the new version with its own data directory. Ignore the next paragraph if you don't really need to fully compare.

Here are the links for the alpha (0.6, old GUI) version

On Mac, your best bet would be to use a host that will load both VSTi and AUi format plugins (e.g. Reaper) so you can use AU of one and VST2 of the other.

1) Install only VSTi of old Bazille, AUi of new Bazille
2) Move the old GUI into the "Themes" folder (MacHD/Library/App Support/u-he/Themes)
3) Load the AUi version first, then the VSTi version
4) Switch the GUI of the VSTi to the old theme

* LFOs: The new LFOs have separate outputs per waveform. If you use any LFO waveform except triangle, you will need to move the output socket in the LFO panel and/or adjust the shape knob. Please refer to the appropriate section of the provisional manual.

* Filters: The new filters react differently, they will probably need tweaking "by ear". Resonance modulation now via patch cable.

* Outputs: Pan modulation now via patch cable.

* Lag Generators: There are now 2 "dual" lag processors instead of 4 individual ones. Please refer to the manual for details. Check whether any of your "important" patches uses 3 or more lag processors, and ask Howie what to do if necessary.

* Oscillators: In the old Bazille, switching from e.g. Saw+Same to Saw+Saw would jump an octave up, so we dropped the octave of the second waveform. Transpose those oscilllators accordingly.

* The default number of Voices (in the TWEAK page) for old patches is 3 - you will probably want to change this value for each patch. Also, if an old patch depended on there being a *restricted* number of voices, set to 4 for "few" (default) or 8 for "medium".
